At one time he painted the smoke stacks at the old Tidal Oil Company (now Getty) at Delaware City. He also worked at DuPont, General Foods, and did construction at different places. In his spare time, he enjoyed crabbing, fishing, going on long rides, playing the slots, bingo, eating out and doing puzzles. He was a proud member of the Greenwood VFW, and for the past 57 years, served as honor guard attending funerals for veterans. He belonged to the Frederica Senior Center, and was active in their annual veterans programs. He was also a member of Modern Maturity Center, Milford Adult Center, and the Harrington Moose Lodge. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Craft; second wife, Jennie Craft; and brothers, Lester L. Craft and Nelson Craft. He is survived by brothers, Thomas Craft and his wife Ethel from Milford and Arthur L. Craft from Seaford; niece, Karen F. Craft-Walls; and several other nieces and nephews; and a close friend, Mary Massey of Felton. Services were Wednesday, May 27, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington.
