DOVER - Alfred W. Clark of Dover died Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006, in Dover.

Alfred was born Oct. 15, 1989, son of Sandra Clark of Dover. On Nov. 25, 1989, Arthur and Della Waters became the proud adoptive parents of Alfred W. Clark and his twin sister, Ashley Nicole Clark.

He was a student at Dover High School, anticipating graduation in June 2007. He played on the basketball team, the Dover Senators, his freshman year. He was known for his great skills on the court and loved the sport.

Alfred loved the children in the neighborhood and during the summer he would treat them to ice cream when the truck would come around.

He was a loving and devoted son and a fun-loving person to be around.

Alfred will always be remembered for his soft-spoken mannerisms. He was someone who didn't like a lot of confusion.

He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Della Waters of Dover; his mother, Sandra Clark of Dover; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, his twin Ashley N. Clark and Michelle and Shawn Johnson, all of Dover, and Shirley and Jimmy Scott of Magnolia; two brothers, Tyree Clark and Aris Clark, both of Magnolia; a special nephew, Jaheere Alfred Clark of Dover; his grandparents, Chantley and Katherine McCawley and Helen Hooten, all of Dover; godparents, Jimmy Sylvester and Glenda Hooten, both of Dover; three god-sisters, Shawntele Hooten, Alecenia Hooten and Dazhae Brown, all of Dover; three god-brothers, Alvin Hooten, August Hooten and Glenron Hooten, all of Dover; a special friend, Gabriel Savage of Dover; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Zion A.M.E Church, Queen and Fulton streets, Dover, where friends may call two hours earlier.

Burial will be in Sharon Hill Memorial Gardens, Dover.

Arrangements are by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
