Alexander Jason St. Jean was born on March 9, 1995 and departed this life on Dec. 5, 2018.
Alex was affectionately known by his family as Peanut or Monster. He was born and raised in Dover, but was living in Orlando, Fla. at the time of his passing.
Alex is survived by his mother, Jenny St. Jean of Wyoming; his longtime girlfriend, Diana Contreras and their son Prince Alexander St. Jean both of Orlando; his grandparents, Don and Ann St. Jean of Hartly, Jesse and Kendall Sykes of Wyoming, Debora Sykes of Virginia; and uncles, Donald and wife Tracy St. Jean, Jr. of Eighty Four, Pa., Jason and wife Kristy St. Jean of Magnolia and Jessie Sykes and wife Liz of North Carolina; and a host of cousins. There are also three special aunts, Paula Campbell, Dionne Williford, and Melissa Jones.
Alex was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carol St. Jean; and his great grandmother, Anita St. Jean.
Alex was well loved and he found joy in making others laugh. He had a profound sense of loyalty and great empathy for others who were suffering. He would often bring home friends who needed a place to sleep or a meal. He was an incredibly gifted athlete on the basketball court and the baseball field but it was his son that was truly the light of his life. He loved his son and was a wonderful father. He was also an avid fisherman and took a great deal of pleasure in out fishing his Grampy.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life to be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 2 p.m., at the Hartly Fire Hall.
The family asks that you write down and bring with you your favorite memory or story of Alex to be shared with his son in a memories book that is being prepared for him.
I love you to the moon and back. You are FOREVER my little Sonshine!
