BARCLAY, Md. - Albert Hickman, of Barclay, died peacefully on Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1931, in Dover, Del., son of the late Pearl Hickman Moore. Albert was a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School. He was a member of the National Guard and then served with the U.S. Army in the early 1960s. He was a mechanic for Gibson Farm Equipment of Ingleside retiring in 1993. He enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing, photography and going to auction sales. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Lester Hickman and Ralph Moore; and his grandson, William Samuel Seward. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Christine Hickman; four sons, Kenneth and wife Robin Seward, Richard M. and wife Lori Pratt, David Sr. and wife Joan Pratt and Stephen Pratt all of Barclay; one brother, Howard Hickman of Dover; six grandchildren, Candy Morris and husband Ray of Hartly, Sandy Jones, Derak Seward, Jamie Lynn Pratt, Pamela Pratt, and David Pratt Jr. all of Barclay; three great-grandchildren, Railyn Morris, Natalie and Brielle Seward, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday from Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave, Greensboro, where visitation will be held one hour before the service. Burial will be in Sudlersville Cemetery, Sudlersville.
