Aida Torres Colon, 60

NEW YORK - Aida Torres Colon of New York died Monday, July 9, 2007, in Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford while visiting her sister. She was 60.

She was born on Oct. 25, 1946, in Cayey, Puerto Rico, and resided in Lawrence, Mass., for 10 years before moving to the Bronx, then Schenectady, N.Y., in 2000.

Aida was a homemaker.

She was a missionary with the Pentecostal Church, The Only Way in Schenectady.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Faulto and Marie (Ortiz) Rivera; a brother, Justo Guzman; and a sister, Guillermina Lopez.

She is survived by her husband, Julio Colon; five children, Carmen Rosario, Bronx, N.Y., Maria Delacruz, Emanuel Torres, Carlos Torres Jr., all of Schenectady and Fernando Baez of Tampa, Fla.; a sister, Francesca Hickey of Harrington; and eight grandchildren.

A visitation will be 6-8 p.m., today in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.

Burial will be private.
