MILFORD - Adrian D. "A.J." Jackson of Milford died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2006, in Kenton. He was 23.
Mr. Jackson was born in Lakenheath, England, son of David F. and Blanche Jackson of Harrington.
He was a welder/plumber/electrician for the Joseph T. Richardson Co. He excelled at his job and everything he tackled in life.
On his 23rd birthday, he ventured at ice skating for the first time in his life. In only five minutes, he was ice skating backwards and in half an hour, he was doing leaps. He also enjoyed riding and working on motorcycles. He enjoyed throwing Frisbees, going fishing, and was an avid music lover. He found great pleasure in playing his acoustic bass guitar and jamming with his dad.
Mr. Jackson was a free spirit and had no fear except the fear of missing out on something. He had a wonderful sense of humor and believed in telling it like it was. He loved being with his friends and made friends easily. His core value was his unconditional love for family and friends.
A brother, son, cousin and soon to be uncle has left quickly but left 23 years of love in his wake.
He will be missed dearly by his family and countless friends, and also by the love of his life, his soul mate whom he planned to spend the rest of his life with, his fiancée, Adrienne. His passing leaves many empty in heart but full with wonderful memories.
Mr. Jackson was a member of the ROTC in high school, and belonged to the Business and Pleasure Car club.
He is survived by his parents, David F. and Blanche Jackson of Harrington; a sister, Kristen A. Jackson of Harrington; his grandmother, Jeannine B. Jackson of Dryden, N.Y.; his fiancée, Adrienne M. Smith of Milford; his aunt and uncle, Ella and Calvin Keech of Freeville, N.Y.; an uncle, Jerry Robinson of Irvington, Ky.; and a host of cousins.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call one hour earlier.
