Ada Bell Alston

Dover - Mrs. Ada Bell Alston of Dover formerly of Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at a nursing facility in Delaware, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1926 in Warren County, N.C., daughter of the late John Henry Simms and Flonnie Robinson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alston was preceded in death by her husband, David June Alston.
Mrs. Alston was a homemaker prior to retiring to a nursing home facility in Delaware. She was also a long standing member of Bibleway Temple Church of God In Christ in Dover. She loved the Lord and shared her light with others.
Visitation is scheduled for Thurs- day, July 26, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover, DE 19904. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Bibleway Temple Church of God In Christ, 56 South Kirkwood St., Dover, DE 19904 with visitation two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
