Wilson Rodway Comegys

DOVER - Wilson Rodway Comegys passed away, Monday, December 10, 2018 at home.
Mr. Comegys was born June 16, 1934 in Hartly, Delaware to the late Woodrow Wilson Comegys and Elizabeth Rodway Comegys, as well as his grandmother Mary Rodway who helped raise him.
He worked for 23 years at I.L.C. as an engineer, designing space suits. Mr. Comegys also owned his own home improvement and saw sharpening business and served in the National Guard for 10 years as a medic. He was E.R. (Exalted Ruler) of the Dover Elks Lodge, BPOE and president of the Dover High School Band Boosters. Mr. Comegys was a former member of the Masonic Lodge #7 and Captin of the Patrol at Nur Shrine of Delaware. He was a life member of the Robbins Hose Company and Hartly Volunteer Fire Company. He had his pilot's license and loved flying small planes.
Mr. Comegys is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louise Comegys of Dover; sons, W. Robert Comegys (Shirley) of Townsend and Lance M. Comegys (Amber) of Davie, Fla.; grandchildren, Justin (Lauren), Ashley, Kyle, Jake and Tori; great grandson, Grady.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, December 16, 2018 at the Dover Elks Lodge, 200 S. Saulsbury Road, Dover, DE 19904. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Dover Elks Lodge, 200 S. Saulsbury Road, DE 19904 or the Robbins Hose Company, 103 S. Governors Avenue, Dover, DE 19904.
