Willie Beasley, 63

SNOW HILL, Md. - Willie Beasley of Snow Hill died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at his home. He was 63.

Mr. Beasley was born in Thompson, Ga., son of the late Sap Johnson and Emma Bratten.

Prior to becoming ill, he was employed in the sanitation department with the town of Ocean City.

Mr. Beasley leaves a legacy of love with his wife, Gloria Beasley of Snow Hill; a daughter, Lakeshia (Douglas) Beasley Bailey of Snow Hill; four brothers, Calvin (Deloris) Beasley of Bossier City, La., James E. (Jeanne) Bratten Jr. of Newark, Del., Barry (Carolyn Johnson) Bratten Sr. of Delmar and Cornell Bratten of Takoma, Wash.; seven sisters, Shirley (Hurley) Purnell of Berlin, Louise Bratten of Snow Hill, Joyce Bratten of Salisbury, Sarah (William Sr.) Johnson of Berlin, Agnes Bratten of Snow Hill, Diana (Matthew) Purnell of Berlin and Theresa (Michael Barber) Bratten of Snow Hill; two grandchildren, Tanayah Bailey and Zymir Bailey; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives, in-laws and friends.

A funeral service will be noon Saturday at the Snow Hill Middle School, where family and friends may visit one hour prior.

Visiting hours will also be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, 1618 West Road, Salisbury.

Burial will be in St. Paul's United Methodist Church Cemetery, Berlin.
