CHESTERTOWN, Md. - William Perry Wilson departed this life to be with the Lord on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, in Chester River Hospital in Chestertown. He was 80.
He was born in Ingleside, to the late Joesph Wilson and Blanche Johnson.
He attended schools in Queen Annes County.
Mr. Wilson was united in holy matrimony to his loving wife, Ella L. Jarrell, with this union seven children were born.
He worked for more than 40 years for Charles and Buck Walls of Sudlersville, and meat dispatch out of Rochester, N.Y.
He was also a bus driver for Queen Annes County School District.
Mr. Wilson always brought a smile to everyone"s face, and he himself loved and enjoyed a good joke and playing the guitar.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ella; his seven children, Ella and her husband, Gregory Martin of Indianapolis, Bonnie and her husband, Rev. Norris Smith of Phoenix City, Ala., Almedia Jarrell, of Goldsboro, Lynette Butler, of Indianapolis, Tamaria Jarrell of Ridgely, William Perry Jr. and his wife, Marge of Ridgely, and James Irvin Wilson, also of Ridgely; he also helped to raise, Helen M.A. Slade of Washington, D.C.; 10 grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; one brother, Leon and his wife, Dot Wilson, of Dover; one sister, Susie Saunders of Barclay; two sisters-in-law, Cynthia Wilson of Barclay, Louise Wilson of Centreville; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Community Baptist Church, Barclay, where friends may call two hours prior.
A viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the church.
