MILFORD - William N. Daniels, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at the Country Rest Home, Greenwood. Mr. Daniels was born in Milford, the son of the late William and Laura Pauline (Hendricks) Daniels. Bill was a graduate of Milford High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He worked as a truck driver for Burris Foods and then Wilson Beverage for 30 years. After his retirement, Bill worked part time as a driver for the local Milford car dealerships. Bill enjoyed traveling with his family members. He enjoyed going to Wilson's Auction on Saturday nights, going to the Milford Diner in the mornings for several years and enjoyed driving people to the airports in Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington areas. Bill had a contagious sense of humor and loved to tell jokes. He loved his dogs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Nancy J. Daniels in 2010; a sister, Thelma Ray; and two sister-in laws, Emma Jean Gerald and Charlene Kelley. He is survived by his cousin, Charlotte Davis, of Milford; mother-in-law, Emma (Horner) Daugherty; two brother-in-laws, Phil Gerald and Don Kelley, all of Crisfield; his god Children, Myria and Joshua Abraham, of Milford; and his special friend, Michael Woikoski, of Felton; as well as several cousins. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his home caregivers and to the staff of the Country Rest Home in Greenwood for their special care. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2012, at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Graveside services will follow in Milford Community Cemetery, Rt. 113, Milford. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Carlisle Fire Company Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 292, Milford, DE 19963.
