Edward Malone, 70
William "Bill" "Mooch" Edward Malone passed away peacefully Friday, January 28, 2022 in his Dover, Del. home.
Mr. Malone was born February 19, 1951, in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Edward Joseph Malone, Jr. and Margaret "Marge" Elizabeth Malone (née Schoenbachler) where he lived until 2001.
He worked for SEPTA as a trolley driver in Southwest Philadelphia for 30 years retiring from SEPTA in 2003, he also worked as a driver in Kent Co., Del. for Parcels, Modern Maturity Center, KSI, and Federated Auto Parts. Finally, fully retiring in 2014.
Mr. Malone was an avid Beatles and John Lennon fan along with Phillies, Flyers, Eagles and especially enjoyed spending time with his wife, children & grandchildren.
In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by son, Erik William Malone; brothers, Edward Joseph Malone, III, Joseph Edward Malone and John Francis Malone; and sister, Margaret "Peg" Anne McGroarty (nee Malone).
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carroll-Lisa "Lisa" or "Fritzy" Malone (nee Fritchey) of Southwest Philadelphia; three children, Christian William Malone, Sr. his wife Victoria "Vicki" (nee Mann), of Glenolden, Pa., Shawn Michael Malone of Drexel Hill, Pa., Amanda "Mandy" Marie Gonzalez (nee Malone) her husband Kenny Gonzalez of Navarre, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Christian William Malone, Jr., Matthew Edwin Malone, Kyran Samuel Gonzalez, Kaylin Marie Gonzalez, Blaise Otto Malone, Ian William Gonzalez, Erik Daniel Malone; also, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
