William Marine Passwaters

William 'Billy' Marine Passwaters, 77

GREENSBORO - William "Billy" Marine Passwaters, of Greensboro, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, in Memorial Hospital of Easton. He was 77.

Mr. Passwaters was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Greensboro, son of Lillie "Tuggie" (Edwards) Passwaters of Greensboro and the late Thurman B. Passwaters.

He was a lifelong Greensboro resident and a retired self-employed painter.

Mr. Passwaters was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and enjoyed fishing and horse racing.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Donald Passwaters of Queenstown; a sister, Lois Amy Hopper of Greenwood, Del.; a nephew, Nickels Stella; and a niece, Lana Stella.

Memorial services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro.

Memorial donations may be made to Greensboro Baptist Church, P.O. Box 66, Greensboro, MD 21639.
