ELLENDALE - William L. "Bill" Truitt passed away on Feb. 11, 2018 at Atlantic Shore Rehab and Health Center in Millsboro.
He was the son of the late William W. and Mary Hudson Truitt.
Bill was a life member of the Seaford Moose Lodge #1728, and a member of the Mason's. He raised Beagles and loved to go rabbit hunting.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Rayner and Jean Hudson.
He was survived by three children, Omer Truitt and his wife Patti, Gwen Cecil and her husband Jeff, and Jay Truitt and companion Sandi Nickerson all of Marydel, Md.; three brothers, Arthur C., Virgil F. and Melvin D. Truitt all of Millsboro; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
His services will be private.
