WARMINSTER, Pa. - William L. Sewell, of Warminster, formerly of Milford, Del., died Monday, Aug. 18, 2008, in Manor Care in Huntingdon Valley. He was 88. He was the husband of Diana Williams Sewell. Born in London, England, he was the son of the late William and Louisa Meinzer Sewell. Mr. Sewell came to the U.S. in 1952. He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II and proudly became a U.S. Citizen in the early 1950s. William was employed by PennDOT as a highway engineer for 25 years. After retirement, he developed a love for clock collecting and repair and became a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Grace C. Quinones and her husband Cesar of Bristow, Va., and Valerie L. Carr and her husband Michael of Warrington, Pa.; also three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to his memorial service 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, in the Christ Episcopal Church, 200 Church St., Milford, DE 19963. A reception will follow in Baker Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William's name may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
