William John Thompson passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. William was born on August 19, 1998 to Heidi JoLynn Thompson and John Edward Watson, Jr. in Dover.
William grew up in Dover and attended Positive Outcomes Charter School. He loved working as a car mechanic and in his free time was a member of various car clubs, most recently of Devious Kustoms. He also enjoyed motorcycles and Hondas.
William is survived by mother, Heidi (Dominique) Thompson; father, Jack (Julie) Watson of Magnolia; siblings, Madeline Thompson and Jada Watson of Camden, Jordan and Jaxson Watson of Magnolia and Jonathan Watson of Dover; maternal grandmother, who he adored, Sandra Thompson; paternal grandmother, Nedra Langley; uncle, Steven Bodine; best friends, John Stevens of Camden, Charles Cohee of Milford, and Courtney Vanderhoef of Felton, who was like a sister to him; father figure, Michael Jones of Camden; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held from 6:30 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover, DE 19904. Please dress comfortably as Will would have preferred.
