William J. Iles Jr., 70
MILLSBORO - William J. Iles Jr., of Millsboro, formerly of New Castle, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, at his home in Millsboro. He was 70.
Mr. Iles was the loving husband of the late Barbara Ann Iles.
He will be dearly missed by his daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren, Victoria Lysinger and her children, Danielle and Joshua Lysinger; Kimberly and Michael Baptiste and their children, Emily and Madeline; Christine and Robert Klerlein and their children, Robert and Caitlin; and Michelle and John Klerlein and their son, John.
Mr. Iles was the oldest brother of his siblings, Gary Iles, Donna Weibley, Michael Iles and Rosemary Houck. He will be remembered as the most mischievous of the Iles family.
A well-known, successful mechanic, he will be missed by all on Woodcrest Road in Pot-Nets Bayside, where, even retired, the "Mechanical Magician" fixed every boat and golf cart on the street for his family and friends.
A true fisherman, with his white beard, hat, Miller and country music aboard the Bil-Mar, he set a state record in 1983 for a blue marlin.
His biggest accomplishments were his daughters - they were "daddy's girls" and will miss him dearly.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Jude's Catholic Church, Del. 1, Lewes.
Following the Mass will be a celebration of life at the home of Michelle and John Klerlein, 29921 Fortune Circle, The Reserve, Milton, DE 19968.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Sussex County SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947.
Arrangements by Melson Funeral Services of Long Neck.
