HARTLY - William "Bill" F. Gerfin passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014 at Kent General Hospital. Mr. Gerfin was born Feb. 4, 1948 in Columbia, Pa. to the late William A. Gerfin and Mildred Finney Gerfin. Before retiring, he worked many years as a pressman for the News Journal newspaper. Mr. Gerfin was a member of the WBCCI Air Stream Club, where he had been vice president and enjoyed attending functions at the club. Mr. Gerfin is survived by his sister, Stellamarie Friedel and her husband Butch of, Amherst, Ohio; and his companion of 19 years, Ruth McEnaney of Clayton. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 22, 2014 at Peace Lutheran Church, 5048 Wheatly's Pond Road, Smyrna.
