William Edward Walls

FREDERICA - William Edward Walls, Sr. "Ed" passed away, Friday, July 20, 2018 at home.
Mr. Walls was born Dec. 21, 1949 in Dover to the late Elmer F. Walls "Barney" and Margaret Bozett Walls "Peggy".
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War 1967-1970. After the service he worked did high line construction work, then went to work for General Foods before going to work for General Motors at the Boxwood Rd. Plant retiring in 2006 after 35 years. He enjoyed playing Candy Crush and reached level 3301, listening to country music, going to the casino, fishing, playing poker and watching the Eagles and Philly's and teasing kids. Mr. Walls will be missed by many and had the endearing nickname "Mr. Grumpy Pants".
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, William E. Walls, Jr. (Little Ed).
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Barbara Taylor Walls of Frederica; oldest son, Billy Millman (Donna) of North Carolina; brother, Ralph Walls (Betty) of Frederica; grandchildren, Tyler Millman and Josh Smith; great grandson, Layton Cole Millman; special great nephew, Adam Pennington (Brandy); great great nieces, Bailee and Brynlee; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be in Barratt's Chapel Cemetery, Frederica.
