Dover - William Charles Moor of Dover passed away 19 Aug 2025. He was born on 30 Jan. 1936 in Dover, son of the late Charles and Catherine May Moor. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. His hobbies were gardening and fishing.
His wife of 59 years, Margaret, preceded him in 2018.
He is survived by one son, Kevin and wife Patricia, 2 grandsons Christopher and Brendan, sisters Catherine Webb and Elizabeth “Betty” Luhrman, and one brother Charles.
Mr. Moor graduated in 1954 from Dover High school. He retired from Peninsula Acoustical Co. in Dover after 41 years of service. He was a member of the Delaware National Guard from Feb 1954 – March 1978 and retired with the rank of CW2. He was a Life Member of Dover Elk’s Lodge 1903 since 1967. Mr. Moor helped with the WUMC Clothing Closet since 2018.
Services will be held at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, on 23 Aug. 2025 at 1 pm. A visitation will be held prior, starting at 11 am. Interment will be at Sharon Hill Cemetery, Dover, following the service.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wesley United Methodist Church of Dover.
