William Charles Blair, 93 SEAFORD - William 'Bill' Blair, of Seaford, passed away peacefully in his home Sunday, March 1, 2009. He was 93. Bill was born Jan. 22, 1916, near Philadelphia, Pa., son of the late William T. and Helen (Alber) Blair. He came to Seaford in 1945 and started work at the Dupont plant a year later. He retired from Duponts with 34 years service in 1981. Besides his parents, "Pop" as he was known by his family and friends, was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Blair and a sister, Helen Wills. He is survived by his daughter, Margie Brodie and her husband Rod of Seaford; a son, William J. Blair and his wife Babe of Gloucester, Va.; five grandchildren, Jeff, Chris, and Mike Blair, Rod Brodie II, and Blair Marr; and five great-grandchildren. He really enjoyed having his family and friends visit, but they always had to get the approval of his little "protector dog" Lilly. Bill was a member of the Seaford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. There will be a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Alt 13 and Oneal Road, on Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 or to the Seaford Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses's, 14714 Adams Road, Greenwood, DE 19950.
