Among his many business pursuits, Bill worked for the Reuben H. Donnelly Company for 26 years as a yellow pages sales representative. He also established his own independent yellow pages company serving the Delmarva Peninsula. Throughout this period Bill was active in real estate, obtaining his license in 1963 and working in the business for 50 years. He was a member of the Kent County Association of Realtors. Bill was a long-time member of the Colonial Rotary Club. Other community involvements over the years included building membership with the Dover Chamber of Commerce and membership in the Lions Club of Lewes. A devoted Catholic and family man, Bill cared greatly for people in his community, extending far beyond any organizational ties. Stegemeier of Wilmington, Del.; sisters, Eleanor Connelly and Elizabeth Glenn, both of Chestertown, Md., and Kathryn Gannon of Churchill, Md.; and grandchildren, Rebecca Ann S. Kirk of Bend Oregon and Michael S. Kirk of Las Cruces, New Mexico. A visitation will be held at noon and a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June, 11, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Friends may visit on Monday evening, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Torbert Funeral Home, 1145 East Lebanon Road (Route 10), Dover. Interment will be at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
