LEWES - William B. McKeever of Lewes, formerly of Pittsburgh, died on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center. He was 87.
He was born on June 2, 1920, in the Mount Washington section of Pittsburgh to James and Mary O'Neill McKeever.
Bill was a loving husband and wonderful father.
He was a salesman for JayCee Foods in Charleroi, Pa., until 1985 and retired to Lewes, where he and his wife enjoyed their "life at the beach."
Bill was a decorated World War II veteran.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years, Bernice Ludwig McKeever; daughters, Nancy M. Targett and her husband Timothy of Lewes, Susan M. Norris and her husband Allan of Hertfordshire England, and Mary Jane McKeever and her husband Terry Hart, of Bethlehem, Pa.; grandchildren, William Norris, Katharine Targett, Mary Norris and Ryan Hart; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Edmond's Catholic Church, King Charles and Laurel avenues, Rehoboth Beach, where friends may call one hour prior.
Interment will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Casa San Francisco, P.O. Box 38, 127 Broad St., Milton, DE 19968.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Lewes.
