William A. 'Bill' Moor Jr., 58

HARRINGTON - William A. "Bill" Moor Jr., of Harrington, formerly of Linwood, Pa., and the Lenni Heights section of Middletown Township, Pa., died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. He was 58.

Mr. Moor grew up in the Lenni Heights section of Middletown Township.

He had been a resident of Linwood for 12 years before moving to Harrington five years ago.

Mr. Moor was employed with East Coast Poured Walls, Milford, as a heavy equipment mechanic for five years.

He was a man devoted to his family and was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Moor especially adored his three grandchildren.

He loved going to Wildwood, N.J., for vacation each summer.

He served as past chief of Lenni Heights Fire Co., where he was a life member, past chief of Aston Beechwood Fire Co. and also as past president and chief engineer of Lower Chichester Fire Department, where he was a life member.

He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Moor Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda (Schreffler) Moor; one son, William A. Moor III and his wife Lenore K. of Aston, Pa.; one daughter, Tammy L. Moor of New Castle; his mother, Margaret (McFarland) Moor of Upland, Pa.; three grandchildren, Christopher and Kylie Moor and Justin Johnson; two sisters, Connie Heffner of Upland and Sharon Jackson of Arlington, Texas; two brothers, Charles "Bucky" Moor of Virginia and Thomas Moor of Linwood; and several nieces and nephews.

A gathering of friends and relatives will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown and Knowlton roads, Middletown Township, Media, Pa.

Interment will be private.
