Willard Paul Fisher

MILLSBORO - Willard Paul Fisher died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at the Harrison House of Georgetown. Mr. Fisher was born in North East, Md. the son of the late Paul and Jeanette (Alexander) Fisher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After the service, he worked at the Dupont Nylon Plant in Seaford, then went to work as the base supply supervisor at the Dover Air Force Base for many years. He was a member of the Milford V.F.W. Blue Hen Post #6483 and the Shawnee Country Club and was also an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret M. Fisher in 1988; a son, John Fisher; and two daughters, Catherine Fisher and Ann Marie Fisher. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ballard; daughters, Veronica Pletsch and Marjorie Fisher; son, Paul C. Fisher; brother, Carlton Fisher; sister, Iris Faulkner; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon. Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery, N. Walnut Street, Milford. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the V.F.W. Blue Hen Post #6483, 77 Veterans Circle, Milford, DE 19963.
