DOVER - Wilberto Macalalad (Bert) passed away on May 24, 2021.
Bert was preceded in death by his parents, Ciriaco and Victoria; and his brother, Mark Christian.
A retired engineer from Exxon/Mobil for 28 years, he loved to bowl, fish and golf. He traveled all over the world with his wife. He was busy with many group activities with fellow retirees, friends and always found the time for his three children and his seven grandchildren.
Bert is survived by his wife, Tessie; his children, Ariel and spouse Kelly, Belinda Darlow and her spouse Andrew, Carl and his spouse Nikki; grandkids, Devin, Kacey, Connor, Tyler, Vida, Niko, and Cooper; his brothers and sisters, Asela Delara, Boy, Odie, Whoney Lizaso, and Evelyn Ladiana and their families.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at The Church of The Holy Cross, 631 S. State St. Dover, DE 19901. Entombment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
A visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2021 at The Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover, DE 19901. Condolences may be shared via www.ambruso.com
