POCOMOKE CITY, MD - Wilbert G. Sommers, of Pocomoke City, died on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016. Born on Jan. 20, 1940 in Wayne, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Dorothy Sommers. Wilbert worked for various dairy farms most of his life. He had a passion for carpentry and mechanics. Wilbert was very good with his hands, he could make any cabinets and fix any car. Wilbert was very easy going and kind-hearted. Wilbert is survived by a daughter, Betty Rementer; three sons, Wilbert G. Sommers Jr. and his fiancée, Thereasa, Barry Sommers and his wife Miriam, and Paul Sommers; a brother and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Wilbert was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty; a brother, who died shortly after birth and a daughter, Deborah. A graveside inurnment was held on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016 at noon, in the Smyrna Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home, P.A., 107 Vine Street, Pocomoke City, Maryland 21851.
