HARRINGTON - After a long battle with Cancer, Wayne Michael "Wayney" Clough, went home to our Lord on April 10, 2013. He was surrounded at death by his wife, Aerial Best; daughter, Ayla; and son, Uriel. Born on March 13, 1980 to his mother, Sharon Groff and father, Wayne Clough. Wayney was first diagnosed with Fibro Carcinoma cancer at the age of 2. His bravery at such a young age was commendable. Multiple occurrences of this dreadful disease reoccurred at the ages of 3, 4, and 5 with experiences of remissions in between through age 15. Wayne was cancer free until 2 years ago at which time treatments and surgeries again placed him in remission. He was a resident of Detroit at this time. In January 2013 the cancer returned and was found throughout his entire body. Having overcome all previous findings he lost his battle on April 10, 2013. Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Joyce Clough; his grandmother, Marlyn Ann Fuhr; and his uncle, William (Billy) Fuhr. He is survived by his wife, Aerial Best of Harrington; his son, Seth A. Clough, age 14, of Felton; his daughter, Zoe M. Clough, age 12, of Felton; his daughter Ayla M. Clough, age 8, of Harrington; and son, Uriel J. Clough, age 5, of Harrington; his mother, Sharon Groff of Harrington; his lifelong 2nd mother, Connie Yencer of Harrington; his aunts, Patricia Groff of Crumpler, N.C.; Janet Macklin of Lincoln; and Katie Ortiz-Perez of Frederica; his uncles, Jason R. Fuhr of Frederica and Curtis L. Fuhr of Pa.; in addition to many cousins and numerous friends of family. Wayne was a very loving and inquisitive child, these traits followed him through his entire life. His bond with family was very strong, being eternally grateful to the love and support he received from family and friends throughout his illness. Memories of his struggles, accomplishments and broad range of imagination will remain with family for many years to come. Wayne enjoyed creating things from nothing. His insight in what something could become was unreachable by many. Final results in his creations were unimaginable. Simple pallets were transformed into a custom made privacy fence, wooden interior vintage doors were transformed into a beautiful bedroom wall for his daughter, Ayla. Motorcycle building from beginning to end with the end result in working order. Computer web-site design which took 6 years to complete along with the help of his wife Aerial. A website created with those in mind who were searching for a place to call home. It is through the loss of Wayne that we his family are reminded of how gifted his creative imagination truly was. It is through his loss that we his family will continue to remember and cherish the magnitude of Wayne's individuality and the way in which it was expressed. Despite the obstacle set before him he persevered and will forever leave his footprints on our hearts. Wayne was loved by many with the ability to touch people's hearts and minds with very little effort. Services are being held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at Berry Short Funeral Home at 119 Northwest Front Street, Milford, DE.
