DOVER - Wanda Lorraine Carney, of Dover, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011, at Kent General Hospital. She was 44. She was born June 15, 1966, in Dover, to Ronald Carney, Sr. and Carolyn Mosley Carney. Wanda enjoyed canning vegetables and fruits. She enjoyed having family and friends over for summer barbeques. Wanda enjoyed having her grandchildren and nephews over for visits. She had been a caregiver for her grandmother Dorothy Mosley up until her illness. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Ethel Carney; and her grandfather, James E. Mosley, Sr. Wanda is survived by her parents, Sam and Carolyn Carney; husband of 22 years, Nicholas Vandetti; two daughters, Ashley Carney and her fiance Mike, and Kristen Carney; two sons, Nicky, and Robert Vandetti; two grandchildren, Kasey, and M.J., all of Dover; brother, Andy Carney and his wife Pam; two nephews, Kaden and Drew of Magnolia; grandmother, Dorothy Mosley of Cheswold; a loving aunt, Winnie of Cheswold; a special cousin, Tammy Mosley of Cheswold; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Interment will be in Immanuel Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheswold. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
