LAUREL - Walter E. Hearn, Jr. passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Mary 18, 2017.
Walter was born in Seaford, a son of Walter Hearn, Sr. and the late Gayle Passwaters. He was also preceded in death by a loving step-mother Vickie Hearn.
Walter was a Conservationist III for Delaware Department of Fish and Wildlife with 33 years of service. He was an active member of the American Legion Post #19 in Laurel. Walter enjoyed fishing, golfing and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Lisa Key Hearn of Laurel; son, Ryan Hearn of Laure;l and daughter, Maile Scott of Laurel; step-brother, Jeff Evans (Tracy); sister, Wanda Layton; two grandchildren, Brandon Scott and Leilani Harding; four great-grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews and extended family.
A Funeral Service will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church 200 W market St. Laurel on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 2:00 pm, a visitation will be held from 12-2:00 pm. The Rev. Dean Perdue and Rev. Bruce Smart will officiate. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Laurel.
