Virginia Naylor Davis, 96 MASSEY, Md. - Virginia Naylor Davis, 96, of Massey, Md., died May 10, 2010, at Autumn Assisted Living in Hagerstown, Md. Mrs. Davis was born on Sept. 2, 1913, in Massey, Md., daughter of the late John William and Helena Woodall Naylor. She was a lifetime resident of Kent County where she worked for the Kent County Board of Education in the Galena School Cafeteria from 1956 to 1982. She was a member of St. Dennis R.C. Church and their Altar Society. She was also a volunteer at Galena Twig Library. In 2002 she moved to Hagerstown, Md. She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Naylor Moffett. Mrs. Davis is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Davis Martin and her husband David of Bel Air, Md., and Eleanor Davis Sheridan of Hagerstown, Md.; seven grandchildren, Tracy Sheridan McSherry (Mick), Lisa Kay Giovanoni (Steve), Kimberly Sheridan Heiston (Greg), Sandra Martin Sadler (Jon), Susan Martin Dubowy (Michael), David Scott Martin (Felicia), and Martha Carolyn Martin; and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends may call on Saturday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to noon in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, where funeral service will be held at noon. Burial will be in Galena Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association c/o the funeral home. www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.com
