Virginia May Wright, 69

CAMDEN - Virginia May Wright of Camden lost her brave and courageous battle against cancer Sunday, July 15, 2007, in her home. She was 69.

Virginia lived a very fulfilling life. She was born in Dover, and later moved to the state of New York. She returned to Delaware in the mid 1970s.

She enjoyed being a homemaker for many years. She found the desire to enter the work force outside her home, as well as helping with her husband"s business, Wrights Masonry, for many years. She found great joy in helping anyone she could.

After the passing of her beloved husband, Virginia worked for Capitol Nursing Home for several years and later worked at Hampton Inn, until she finally decided to retire. She then found great fulfillment in being the absolute best grandmother she could possibly be. Her grandchildren were her absolute joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie Miles; and her husband, James Randolph Wright.

She leaves to mourn her memory two children, Ivy Mae Freeman and Antoinette Lake, both of Dover; two sons-in-law, Randall Freeman and Cecil Lake, both of Dover; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Mathews of Salisbury, Md.; a sister, Mary Etta Miles of Dover; a brother, James Miles of Dover; a sister-in-law, Bishop Dorina Miles of Dover; a stepdaughter-in-law, Patricia Wright of Dover; three grandchildren, Phillip Leon Lake, Heavyn Leigh Lake and Randall Freeman Jr., all of Dover; four step-grandchildren, Jason Mathews and Kasy Mathews, both of Salisbury, and Michelle Wright and Latoya Wright, both of Dover; and a host of family and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may view two hours earlier. Burial will be in Gibb"s Memorial Park, Camden.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses.

Letters of condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
