Virginia Lee Pierce

HARRINGTON - Virginia Lee Pierce died Mar. 24, 2017, at home in due to illness.
Mrs. Pierce was born in Charles Town, W.Va., June 10, 1957. She grew up in the Still Pond area and graduated high School. She died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her husband Ron Pierce and her stepson Curtis Pierce. Virginia was the daughter of Catherine and John Nicholson and she has four sisters.
Virginia married Ron Pierce October 8, 2007. They were married for almost ten years and his son Cutis was her stepson. Virginia had three children of her own, Tommy Glanding, Shelly Glanding and Buddy Glanding. She loved to paint, she loved art, she loved all kinds of animals especially dogs, birds, and horses. She loved reading mystery books, putting puzzles together and she was very good at decorating or doing anything around the house. She was an excellent cook that enjoyed her time in the kitchen. Anything to do with plants or gardening were many of the things she did and she liked to go fishing. She was a very hard worker and she cared about everything she did. Some of her jobs consisted of house cleaning, she helped her husband, working for him with his construction business. It was called Building and Renovations, she kept the books and she was also a very good hairdresser, a cashier and she used to work for Playtex in Dover.
Virginia leaves behind in death, her husband, Ron Pierce; her stepdaughter, Heidi Pierce; her stepson, Ronald Pierce, Jr.; and stepson, Curtis Pierce. She also leaves her four sisters, Catherine Wyatt, Margaret Knoedler, Janette Simmons and Mary Bryant. She also had three children from the previous marriage, Tommy Glanding, Shelly Glanding and Buddy Glanding.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, Apr. 2, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Fellows Family Funeral Home, in Millington, Md. She will be interred next to her parents on Monday, Apr. 3, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Still Pond Cemetery.
