WORTON, Md. - Vikki Christina Lynne Fleming of Worton died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, in Memorial Hospital at Easton, after a 13-month battle with leukemia. She was 21.
Ms. Fleming was born June 28, 1985, daughter of Edward H.J. and Shelly (Bigelow) Fleming of Worton.
She was a lifetime resident of Worton, and a 2003 graduate of Kent County High School.
She worked for Kentucky Fried Chicken, Chestertown, for three years, and in 2006 became the shift manager for Taco Bell, Easton.
Ms. Fleming was a member of and attended Sunday school at Salem United Methodist Church, Fairlee.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Anthony "Tony" Fleming.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her fiance, Charles W. Merchant of Chestertown; a brother, Eric Bigelow of Chestertown; her maternal grandparents, Louise and James Bigelow of Chestertown; and her maternal great-grandmother, Thelma Bigelow of Chestertown.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Kent County Relay for Life, P.O. Box 1001, Chestertown, MD 21620.
