Velma Lee Kenney

Felton - Velma Lee Kenney passed away Monday Dec. 15, 2014 at Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Kenney was born Sept. 13, 1928 in Chance, Okla. She was a geriatrics nurse's aide. Mrs. Kenney was a member of Modern Maturity Center in Dover. She enjoyed going to Spence's Bazaar and yard sales. Most of all she loved her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kenney; two sons, David Fisher, Kenneth Fisher, Donald Kenney Jr.; and eight siblings. She is survived by her sons; John Fisher of Felton; Robert Kenney of Massfield, Texas; brothers, Donald Fugett and his wife Ester and Allen Fugett and his wife Ruth Ann all of Stubenville, Ohio; twelve grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 19, 2014 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
