Valmeta Fry 'Val' Streetman CAMDEN - Val Streetman, born 1930, in Bennington, Okla., passed away in her home, Wednesday, July 30, 2008. She was a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Okla., and had completed graduate studies in elementary education. Mrs. Streetman taught at schools in Sauk Village, Ill., Chester, N.J., and Sherrard, W.Va. Upon relocating to Delaware in 1976, she joined Hewlett-Packard in Avondale, Pa. and transitioned to Agilent Technologies, at Little Falls, where she retired in 2003. She was a member of Skyline United Methodist Church and also worshipped at Whatcoat UMC in Camden. Her husband of 48 years, George B. Streetman, predeceased her in 1997. Among her survivors are brothers, Paul Fry of Dimmitt, Texas, Ranor Clinton Fry of Sherman, Texas; and her children, Don of Suffolk, Va., Mike of Glen Dale, W.Va, Lee of Middletown, Lynne of Belleveue, Wash., and Jan of Camden. Five grandsons enriched her life. Friends and family remember Mrs. Streetman's hint-of-Southern accent and lilting voice. A memorial service will be held privately. If desired, charitable gifts in her memory may be sent to Whatcoat UMC at 16 N. Main St. in Camden, DE 19934. Letters of condolences may be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
