GREENWOOD - Tony Nelson Legates, of Greenwood, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2009, in the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was 49. Tony was born in Milford, the son of the late George and Eunice Morgan Legates. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a supervisor for Burris Logistics for 20 years. He was a loving husband and father and enjoyed traveling and swimming with his kids, going to auctions with his father-in-law and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Donnie and Paul Legates. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Sandra Carmean Legates; two children, Brooke Amber Legates and Shania Nicole Legates; brothers, George Legates of Houston, David Legates of Harrington and Brian Legates of Dover; and one sister, Teresa Paul of Georgia. Funeral Services were held Saturday Jan. 31, 2009, at Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford. Burial will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.
