MILLINGTON, Md. - Thomas W. Russum of Millington died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, in Chester River Hospital, Chestertown. He was 60.
Mr. Russum was born March 7, 1947, son of the late Wesley and Lillian (Cornell) Russum.
He was raised in Lynch and was a 1966 graduate of Chestertown High School.
Mr. Russum was a U.S. Army veteran stationed in Germany.
He was a chemical operator for Velsicol in Worton for 36 years.
Mr. Russum was a life member of Kennedyville Vounteer Fire Co. and was a member of the Millington Veterans of Foreign Wars and Betterton American Legion.
He enjoyed skeet shooting and trapping, woodworking, the outdoors, decorating his home for the holidays and his love for domestic and farm animals.
Mr. Russum is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gladys M. Russum; two daughters, Susan Steward and her husband Vernard of Smyrna, Del., and Tara Russum of Chestertown; a brother, Robert Russum of Seaford, Del.; and sister, Kathy Wiltbank of Chestertown; and brother-in-law, Harold Andrew Jr. of Centreville.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where service will be held at 8 p.m.
A gathering of friends will be held at a later date for the celebration of Tommy"s life.
