McClure, 60 'Captain Tom' SEAFORD - Thomas Edwin McClure, age 60, died peacefully with his family by his side at Christiana Hospital, Newark, on September 8, 2014. Born September 11, 1953 in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Nellie B. and George H. McClure. Tom was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing on the Atlantic Ocean and hunting in Pennsylvania. Tom was well-known and well-loved. He will be remembered for his kindness and compassion, and the smiles he brought to the faces of everyone who knew him. Tom will be dearly missed by all. Tom was a graduate of Williamsport High School, Williamsport Area Community College, and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a retired machinist from Avco-Textron in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and lived his dream of operating a charter fishing business and store in Millsboro, with his long- time companion Theresa Elliott. Surviving are his son, Thomas Oliver McClure and wife Nichole; and three lovely grandchildren, Owen, Liam and Mia of York, Pa. He is also survived by four brothers, Halden McClure and wife Cynthia of Carlisle, Pa., Ronald Guthrie and wife Mollie of Williamsport, Pa., Eugene Guthrie and wife Shirley of Farrandsville, Pa., and Robert Guthrie of Shikellamy, Pa. Services will be 1 p.m., October 4, 2014 at the Community Church of Oak Orchard, 32615 Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro, DE 19966. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Patrol, 161 Candlelight Drive, Carlisle, PA 17013 or the charity of your choice.
