Thomas Dewey Steerman

Thomas (Tom) Dewey Steerman passed away on Thursday, Oct. 22nd. He would have celebrated his 75th birthday on Sunday. Tom was born in Wildcat, West Virginia. He was the youngest of Hugh and Sylvia Steerman's 15 children. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by his brothers (Oscar, Warren, Wilmar, Leonard, Rexwell, and Maxwell) and sisters (Maude, Jearldean, Eveyln, Ilene, Nora, and Delphia) He is survived by his brothers Kenneth (and wife Betty) from Minford, Ohio and Eugene (and wife Mary) from Lake Station, Inn. His wife, Georgia from Dover, his children: Tim (and wife Cyndi) from Tappahannock, Va.; Wayne (and Jennifer) from Greensboro, Md.; and Darlene (and husband David) from Dover, Del. six grandchildren: Marissa, Brandon, Amanda, Makenzie, Christopher, and Mason, and one great-grandson, Jasper. Tom also survived by his family of doctors, nurses, staff, and other residents at DHCI. Service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015 at the Rock Cave Baptist Church, Rock Cave, W.Va., where visitation will be two hours earlier. Burial will follow in Greenhill Cemetery, Rock Cave, W.Va. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
