Theodore E. 'Ted' Jeffries, 55

SMYRNA - Theodore E. "Ted" Jeffries, 55, of Smyrna, and Ventnor, N.J., passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009, at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was born on Aug. 23, 1953, in Somers Point, N.J., to the late Robert and Lois (Heller) Jeffries; the second of five children. Mr. Jeffries graduated from Carson Long Military Institute in 1971. After completing a computer engineering degree at Del Tech, he worked for Catalogue Resources of Dover. He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed TV, music, and loved animals. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert and Lois Jeffries; and brother, Timothy Jeffries. He is survived by brother, Peter Jeffries of Durham, N.C.; sister and her husband, Christine and Albert Cajthaml of Camden; sister and her husband, Linda Jeffries and Richard Pilkington III of Pottstown, Pa.; nieces, Jennifer Pinkerton, and Melissa Cajthaml; and nephew, John "Ricky" Smolczynski. The family would like to thank all staff at Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill for their dedicated care and compassion during his time with them. Services and burial will be private.
