Thelma Naomi Wisher, 72
Thelma N. Wisher, affectionately known as Tiddlywinks or Winks, was born on June 19, 1949 to the late Russell and Betty Wisher in Smyrna, DE. She peacefully departed this life on October 21, 2021 at the age of 72 at Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital.
Thelma received her education at William W.M. Comprehensive High School. She was employed at Delaware Home and Hospital for the Chronically Ill.
Thelma leaves cherished memories with long-time partner Keith Jackson; her three children, Tina Wisher (partner Wesley Bordley), Reginald Wisher (fiancée Dandralyn Johnson), and Keith Wisher (Genna); her six grandchildren, whom she loved with all of her heart, Ta'Shay Wisher, Bre'Monte Palmer, Shakayla Palmer, McKenna Wisher, Rhys Wisher, and Kaia Wisher; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Russell Wisher (Charlene); sisters, Ruth and Barbara; her best friend Sherry Glasco; Godchildren, Michel'le Brown and Leeaire Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2 pm on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at Evan W. Smith Funeral Services, 518 S. Bay Rd., Dover, DE 19901. A Public Viewing will be held from 12 – 2 pm with the formal home going to follow. Interment at Emmanuel A.M.E Cemetery, Hartly, DE.
