Thelma M. Bantom

CLAYTON - Thelma M. Bantom of Clayton, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014. She was 69. Mrs. Bantom was born December 14, 1944 in Chester, Pa., the daughter of the late LeRoy and Louise Burns. Thelma was a homemaker who enjoyed the outdoors, planting flowers and gardening. She was proud of her family and enjoyed raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved her cats. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Bantom. She is survived by her two sons, William M. Bantom, Sr. and his wife Beth of Clayton and James E. Bantom of Clayton; two grandchildren, William M. Bantom, Jr. of Clayton and Samantha L. Bantom, also of Clayton; two sisters, Helen Burke of Wilmington, DE and Barbara and Granville Krauss of Florida. A viewing will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11 am in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main Street in Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm. Burial will be private.
