MILFORD - Thelma B. Alexander, of Milford, passed away Monday, Dec. 29, 2008, in Milford Center. She was 91. Thelma was born in Forrester, Kansas daughter of the late Fred E. and Emma (Nichols) Burlingame. She was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, crocheting and cooking. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milford. Thelma is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dora and Charles Gill of Milford and Sharon and Hank Scully of Oakridge, N.J.; two granddaughters and their husbands, Dawn and Chris Kelley and Sherrie and Michael Wilkins; four great grandchildren, Ethan Wilkins, Jessica Wilkins, Riley Kelley and Bridget Kelley; and a sister, Flora Briggs of Denver, Colo. A funeral service was held Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Milford, 6062 Old Shawnee Road, Milford. Burial was in Slaughter Neck Cemetery, Milford. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions, in Thelma's memory, be made to the church. Arrangements handled by Berry-Short Funeral Homes, Milford.
