DOVER - Thelma Audrey Dennison died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017 in Kent General Hospital. Mrs. Dennison was born Sept. 6, 1927 in Bridgeville to the late Howard and Bessie Willey. Mrs. Dennison worked at Mack's Bakery and Underwood Foods at the Richardson and Robbins Cannery in Dover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy "Shorty" Dennison in 2006. Mrs. Dennison is survived by one son, Leroy H. Dennison and wife Kay of Dover; one daughter, Barbara J. Harris and her husband Richard of Camden; six grandchildren, Jeffrey L. Dennison and his wife Deanna, Leroy H. Dennison, Jr. and his wife Caroline, Andrew Dennison and his wife Kari, Jennifer L. Tuxward and her husband Tom, Amber Chase and her husband Fred; five great-grandchildren, Lisa Tuxward, Paige and Samantha Dennison, Sky Dennison and Carter Chase; and twosisters, Joyce Warrington of Dover, and Beatrice Short of Bridgeville. Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt. 10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com
