Thaddeus H. Harry, 87

MARDELA SPRINGS, Md. - Thaddeus H. Harry of Mardela Springs, formerly of Chestertown, died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Salisbury Nursing Home. He was 87.

Mr. Harry was born Aug. 27, 1919, in Oakvale, W.Va., son of the late Mack and Addie (Owens) Harry.

He was employed with Exxon for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He later worked for Milestone Manor Apartments.

Mr. Harry enjoyed gardening and fishing.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Senia Hagy; a brother, Lawrence Harry; and a sister, Gertrude McClanahan.

Mr. Harry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Harry; three daughters, Delores Woodward of Orange, Va., Katrina Houck of Mardela Springs and Sharon Harry of Salisbury; two brothers, Roscoe Harry of Oakvale and Marshall Harry of Crew, Va.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where friends may view from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Galena Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Mickayla Houck Memorial Fund, c/o Katrina Houck, 9939 Wallertown Road, Mardela Springs, MD 21837.
