MILLSBORO - Tami Dawn Layton, formerly of Milford, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 4, 2016 at the Stockley Center, Millsboro. Tami was born in Milford, the daughter of Pam (Smith) Messick and the late Richard Layton. Tami was a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister and aunt. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Walter F. and Rachel (Cline) Smith; and her aunt, Michelle Cordrey. She is survived by her mother and step-father, Pam and Ray Messick; one sister, Tonda L. Huckleberry; one step-brother, Casey Messick; her step-grandmother, Ruth Smith; her aunt, Edna Mae Layton; a niece, Madison Holder; a nephew, Zachary Holder; and her extended family. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford where friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Burial will be in Stockley Cemetery, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Donations Account at Stockley, c/o Stockley Center, 26351 Patriots Way, Georgetown, DE 19947.
