Suzanne Lewis

CAMDEN - Suzanne Lewis passed away Friday, April 15, 2011, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 61. Suzanne was born on July 19, 1949, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Leslie and Mary (Kappler) Cox. She worked at the Childrens Hospital National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., for 35 years retiring in 2009. Suzanne enjoyed reading and traveling. She was preceded in death by her stepson, Jason E. Lewis in 2006. Suzanne is survived by her husband of 15 years, Ronald D. Lewis II; two stepsons, Ronald D. Lewis III of St. Mary's County, Md., and Mark B. Lewis of LaPlatta, Md.; two brothers, Greg Cox of Bowie, Md., and David Cox of New York City, N.Y.; and several grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 23, at the Barclay Farms Clubhouse, 1 Paynters Way, Camden. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Childrens National Medical Center, The Nations Childrens Hospital, 111 Michigan Ave., NW Washington, DC 20010.
