Sun DePaul, 80
Sun DePaul passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, after losing her two-year battle with lung cancer. Sun was born on November 7, 1943, to I-Pun Choe and A-Chi Ko in Boryeong, South Korea.
Sun worked multiple different jobs throughout her life, working at Dover Air Force Base in the Dining Hall and most recently at Bayhealth where she did light housekeeping. Sun worked at Bayhealth for 20 years and considered herself a military wife. She loved gardening, traveling, and being with her family.
In addition to her parents; Sun was preceded in death by her brother, Sung Nam Ko.
Sun is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard; son, Ronald (Lauren) DePaul; two sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The viewing will begin at 12pm on Friday, March 22, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 22, 2024 at Tolbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover. The burial will follow at Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
The family wishes to give special thanks to DE Hospice. Flowers or donations to DE Hospice would be appreciated.
