Stephen Lee Reed, 32

DOVER - Stephen Lee Reed, of Dover, passed away Sunday, May 25, 2008, from injuries sustained in an motorcycle accident. He was 32.

Stephen was born Oct. 24, 1975, in Dover.

He served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War, achieving the rank of E-4.

He was employed by Artesian Water in Middletown for the last two years as a field technician.

Stephen loved being out of doors, animals and all of nature.

He enjoyed old cars and motorcycling.

He is survived by his mother, Patricia Blackburn and her fiance Tom Ness of Frankford; father, Larry Richard Reed of Woodside; maternal grandmother, Betty S. Blackburn of Wyoming; a brother, Larry Richard Reed II and his wife Amy of Frederica; a sister, Melissa Ann Reed of Woodside; a nephew, Brian Christopher Salgado; an extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and a close friend, David Trotter of Dover.

Stephen's life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather one hour before services.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Tri State Bird Rescue and Research, 110 Possum Hollow Road, Newark, DE 19711.
